Who is Glenn Cardwell?
Glenn is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with 32 years in clinical and public health nutrition, including 10 years as consultant dietitian to the National Heart Foundation, five years at the Children's Hospital in Sydney and was a major player in establishing the WA School Canteen Association in 1994. He began his nutrition consultancy company, Nutrition Impact P/L, in 1996.
He has given nutrition presentations throughout Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Spain, South Africa and Britain, on healthy eating, sports nutrition and weight control. He was the sports nutrition adviser to the West Coast Eagles (Australian Football League) for 14 years and for the first two seasons with the Western Force (Super 14 Rugby).
He has been fortunate enough to be invited to the UK six times to run nutrition workshops for fitness leaders and dietitians. He was one of the original sports dietitians to establish Sports Dietitians Australia in 1996 and edited their international newsletter Fuel for 10 years.
Glenn makes frequent TV and radio appearances and has written four books, Diet Addiction, Gold Medal Nutrition (four editions), Getting Your Kids to Eat Well and the Top Blokes Food Manual, as well as two books for the Heart Foundation and three e-books available on this website.
He's an award winning professional speaker and is worth listening to if only because he believes that chocolate and red wine are essential food groups.
